About 2 years ago there was this GS300 rollin on 20's. It was a little lowered and was riding on nothing but rim. I understand all the cautions with 20's and the little rubber and the risk of pot holes and things but do they rub when turning? Is there any disadvantages? Does anyone have any pictures??

I noticed a lot of 18's and 19's in these forums... What do you recommend??

Please give me any input you may have...

If you're going to get a ding by hitting a pothole on 20's, you're going to do the same on 19's and probably 18's. The only bet is to drive safely. I have 20's on my GS430 and I drive the car daily. With the right offset, you won't have any rubs (or very very minor ones).

Disadvantages, well let's see...1) People want to jack 'em, 2) Haters want to mess your car up, 3) tires are more expensive, 4) You can't take the car through most car washes (w/o scratching the wheels), 5) you absolutely HAVE to lower your car, 6) 20's make your car sit higher than 19's or 18's (not by much though).

There are MANY members on here with 20's on their GS's and other rides...for pictures, check out the GS Gallery...

If you've OWNED a lowered car with wheels before, then you should have enough knowledge NOT to screw up 20's. You just can go 30 MPH over speed bumps or just roll off curbs, etc., etc. like you can with stock 16" donuts...

The disadvantages are POTHOLES, HATERS, and alot of $$ for tires. The main reason and only reason in MO to get 20's are for looks and thats about it. Going higher than 18's are geared more towards looks than performance.
