Hey guys, well just curious whats the opinions out there about black wheels w/chrome lips on a black car? I used to be a chrome fan but black wheels are beginning to look nice.. Going from a GS to an SC its time for me to get new wheels !

Glad to see you still on here Dman. Really miss your beautiful GS. IMHO I dont really like black wheels. I think graphite is ok but to me it hides too much of the design of the wheel. I am really liking brushed wheels now.

Andy you know my stance, black is nice, but brushed or chrome will show more of the design.

I guess it depends on the car and wht type of look you're going for. I have seen some nice black on black cars....I dig it but I personally would stick with brushed finish

derrick, yeah I remember our conversation.... I am really in a deadlock ! that wheel I mentioned to you I definately want, its all about finish now..

sieze, brushed finish isnt a bad idea as well ! dam decisions !


Though if I had any other color car besides black, chrome or brushed finished would be for me but black rims on black cars seem to compliment each other.. gives a sinister look.

Thanks for the compliment Dman. I agree that black on black is sinister, I just feel the design of the wheel suffers. It definately turns heads. Cant wait to see what you do with the SC430

I like the clean look of a black on black, I have the same rims on the SC on my IS. I like black when the rims do not have to many spokes, I guess I jsut prefer the clean look.
