Default Wheel/Fitment question..

Hi all...

Would these specs fit at 98 GS400? The seller (on ebay) said the rears might rub, and that I would need to trim/shave the fenders. I dont want to do any unnecessary body work to make them fit, so I thought I'd check first with you guys. Thanks...

Specs::

Size: 2 Front Rims are 19X8.5 about 2" Lip.
Size: 2 Rear Rims are 19X9.5 about 3" Lip.
Bolt Pattern: 5X4.5 (114.3) and 5X4.75
Offset: +35mm

Both are fairly aggressive specs. It should work though. The rear is right on the edge of needing work and a few mms from the way the car is aligned or tire choice or lowering or a combination of these can force you to do a little work.

That's my fear. Off the top, do you know what tire specs would work best? Im guessing a fat setup would be out of the question without the fender work huh?

Thanks in advance guys for the feedback...

Not completely. With 9.5, you will more than likely use a 275 width so it won't be as bad. It is too close to really be able to say with certainty one way or another.

Just shave it Mark. It is a liberating experience. Realisticly mark, you might not need to do anything. You will need to be prepared to shave a few mms, just in case. You won't need that much. You can probably shave just enough but will still be able to keep the black trim to keep it OEM looking.

Thanks Neo I should probably search it, but how does the shaving process work. Is it something I can do, or something best left to a pro? And does it cost a lot?
