here's an odd one... on an '00 GS4
had 4 new fulda "extremo" tires put on about 18 months ago and since then they've logged almost exactly 20k miles (apparently fulda is made by goodyear---i know i should've bought michelin and regret it now....)
Recently, there was this repetitive hum-hum-hum noise that increased in frequency with speed. SOOO.... i went and had an alignment done on a hunter machine, got the printout.... all came back w/in normal ranges w/ only the most minor of adjustments needed.
However, my front two tires are a bit messed up (they're allegedly rotated every 5k miles as i have it serviced regularly by a dealership). One was cupping, and the other was "feathering." The one cupping has about 70% tread left and is being replaced now under warranty, with my paying 30% of the cost of the new tire, as a pro-rated amount of tread i have used.
The other tire is being replaced entirely at NTB's cost because the belt is "disintegrating."
Has anyone else had so many problems like this?
Thanks folks.
