Nice set of wheels SSK, these are probably the best one you've had on yet...cant wait till you give it a little more drop.
Thanks for the compliment.

Now, let me show you a real fake lip action. "I don't mean it in a negative way".

Yep. Those were my 19" Exxe wheels. Those have a huge curve center which makes it possible for the hugh lip. I think the lips on Exxe were 5 inch if not 5.5 also.

As for your comment, I know. You were referring to Ame wheels.

Since BIG LIPS are very popular, lots of wheel manufactures curve their center so they can maximize the lip size.

I had Weds Kranze LXZ which the centers are concave so they don't have much lips.

I know. The offset of the Weds Kranze are perfect for GS.

This really reminds me that I really went through many sets of wheels.

1. 19" Maya GR5
2. 19" Exxe (Work)
3. 20" Weds Kranze
4. 20" Maya GR5
5. Vellano VSB 5 LS
6. Vellano VST

Wow!!! That 6 wheels since 4/2005. Thats when I bought my SC430.

The list above does not include 3 sets of wheels I went through on my 350Z which I sold couple of month ago.

1.18" SSR GT3
2. 19" Volk Racing SF Challenge
3. 19" Maya GR5 (listed above)

NO MORE NEW WHEELS FOR ME. THIS IS IT.

Your are truly the shoe changing king! I think your ride looks perfect. Love the new look over the previous set of wheels. Great story to go along with it also.

Glad you like the new wheels, I think the design is better on these than the last set. Do have a pic with the measurement of the 5.5" rear lip? Since we started carrying VELLANO I have been reasearching their lip measurements, and some seem to be optimistic. I'm not sure if they are measuring from the face or from the inner section behind the spokes.

Thanks in advance for the help with the pic, and whatever the lip size the wheels look great. Enoy your new rollers!!

You know what Derrick, I just went out and measure it with a paper and since I did not have ruler, I just used 6x9 notebook and It went just above half so I think you might be right in terms of Vellano measuring from inner section just behind the face/spokes. With my estimate, the actual measurement of the lip is around 4.5 to 5.0 inches from the face/spokes.

5.5 was what was written on the wheels so I just assumed it was. Regardless, I am very happy with my wheels.

Attn: Think I miss informed about the lip size. The actual lip size maybe 4.5 to 5 inch. It looks like DERRICK was right about Vellano measuring lip size from the inner section just behind the face/spokesbarrel.

My apologizes.

No need for apology at all, it happens alot of the time. I noticed in their dealer catalogs that they were quoting a 5.5" lip for a another application thats similar to the SC430 and I thought that was kind of odd for a wheel with such a straight profile!

As I said in my former post, no matter what the lip size, the wheels look awesome. I also personally think that stronger spoke fits the lines of the SC430 very well, its adds some "starch" to the normally soft lines of the car. For those that don't like it now, I bet they'll love it once its lowered a bit more than the current 1"

Enjoy the new rollers, and for the sake of humanity please, DON'T CHANGE WHEELS AGAIN!!!! LOL

You call them fake lips? I call them cheater lips.

SSK, I just had a discussion with my friend about Vellano wheels. He is very interested in those. How does Vellano compare with Zone wheels in quality? I don't know anything about either, so I assume they are similar.
