It would be a ton of work. they would have to be stripped of all the chrome and the base material underneath. Then hipolished, then brushed, then cleared!

 

how about changing the color of a rim from hypersilver to a different silver? i have a set of maido GR5 that need to be refinished, so im wondering if i could just take them apart myself and sand it down and have a body shop spray them. is there any tips or pointers i should know when taking apart and putting together a multipiece rim? any info would be greatly appreciated. sorry for the threadjack!!!!

 

Maya/Maido GR5 wheels are 3 piece wheels however, barrel and lips are weld together. You can take the center out but barrel and lips are stuck together.

If I were you, take it to a wheels repair shop and have them do it right.
