Default Tire Question

I have a 2004 IS. I just was wondering if only i was having a problem with tires wearing on the inside. The outter tread looks new but inside is entirely bald. Is it just me or do others have the problem??? Is there a fix or a TSB

You need an Alignment, And keep them rotated about every 3-5k. This should solve the problem.

yes, check alignment and make sure the camber and toe is in spec, otherwise it will cause what you see now. and yes, i agree tire rotation is important

Henry's always got the right answers... definitely do the camber, but don't ignore that toe adjustment... Caster not as big of a deal, but it should be checked out as well. Any reputable alignment shop will take care of all three...

and keep in mind, if the caster is off, that might mean some arms are bent. coz' caster is not adjustable on the car, only camber and toe

Thanks for the advice everyone. I will have to try it. I just thought it was odd that on a stock setup the tires were wearing on the inside. It only has 25,000 miles I know that the tires life expectency is around there. Just concerned I guess. Hopefully this works.

actually the tires on a stock is300, they do tend to wear out on the inside. how long have you not done alignment. lexus cars are very sensitive to alignment. as soon as you get a bit toe out, the inside will wear out very fast
