Ask yourself, "I wouldn't buy wheels that cost more than $xxxx". This isn't brand or model specific, it's a general question about how much money you would spend on wheels. The maximum could be limited by what you can afford, cost vs. benefit, or the principal of not spending more than $xxxx on wheels.

There are just too many nice wheels in the 1500-4000 range to go any higher than that. Collectizone, HRE and Strut are all very nice wheels that cost above 7K but are they that much better than Volks or Work or even iForged. Then there's are brands like Enkei and TSW that have long histories of race proven quality that cost 1000-2000 but are not given props because they are one piece cast wheels. Engines are cast and no one thinks they're inferior because of it. Multi-piece forged wheels bend, beak and get scuffed more easily and people think they are better. They certainly look better but are they more durable? Big NO. They're lighter but does that help in everyday usability? It could but not enough to justify the added expense.

In conclusion...I love expensive multi-piece wheels but hate it when some people don't give props to a car that doesn't have them.

I don't mind spending the $ on quality rims but had a bad set come my way. A well known comp. MHT Foose speedsters started to rust 4 weeks after I got them.I don't use wheel cleaner,of any kind just car wash soap. But got those rims fixed, and replaced them with E114 rims.To my suprise I had better braking less brake dust. I like the air stem on the new rims, will get better pics soon.

Well considering a custom made, 3 pc fully forged wheel would cost you anywhere in the range of 1100-2000 ea.The max I'd spend on wheels alone is probably 5200 or maybe slightly more. Athought the current wheels I want for my car run just a tad under 3G's w/out tires - my other options are quite pricey but still not out of the picture...

i think i would 3k would buy a nice set of wheels.......i had advans on my Tc and really like them and they were about 2300 for a MAT forged rim, very light weight; they did make a difference in braking, but i was always worried about chipping them or someone being a Ahole and throwing ice cream or something on them.

I really like to stare at the VS-xx, and the price is right, under 3k and they are good quality wheels, but if i had unlimited amounts of money i would buy those fiske that were post up a few post higher then me.
