Default Zauber Gettin wheels... what do I do???

I have a set of Zauber Gettins. I bent one of them beyond the ability to repair it. Since Arrow Enterprises (Zauber makers) are out of business, anyone have a clue where I might be able to get the lip portion of the wheel? I believe the lip portion is called the barrel. The spokes are fine, it's just the outer lip that's messed up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Ron

Damn, must be pretty bad. Can you post pics of the wheels and damage? Depending how bad it is, some shops might be able to repair the damage.

I was just giving him the info he needed.

If you do own a set of these wheels and you know it's not a true 3pc then kindly let MSBoy know that it's impossible to switch out the lip.

i wasnt trying to be rude, sorry if i came off that way

also, it seems like they (kodiak) only do the lip section which would be useless unless the zauber gettins lip is a seperate piece from the rest of the wheel. even if it isnt, its worth it to see if kodiak can do the whole barrel.

For a true 3pc wheel, the barrel is always made in 2 sections. The outer lip and the inner portion. This is why it's called a 3 pc, because the wheel is made up of 3 sections. If the 2 pcs of the barrel is not separated, then it is not a true 3 pc wheel.

I did check out the PDF (from the site) and they do make the inner and out part of the barrel.

Yup. And if it is a 2pc, he can really be OG and make it a 3pc. Just take out the face and make an inner and outer barrel for it.

that would be quite expensive... he'd have to do all 4. thats $600+ for each barrel!

I just looked again, it appears their stuff stops at 18" diameter anyway. Dead end.

The Japanese wheel manufacturers are strange about this; you cannot purchase replacement rim sections for their multi-piece wheels. To me, being able to replace damaged or curbed rim pieces is one of the main reasons I would buy a modular wheel. But the Japanese manufacturers don't support this.

You have two options:

1) Search for a used replacement wheel on eBay or random forums

2) Call a shop like D2-Autosport and get new wheels.

That's too bad, would've been interesting to see 20" Gettins with a step lip

Wow! I've been doing so much research on this topic and only remembered today that I posted this on CL. Thing is, you guys are the only ones who came up with so much info! Thanks for all your help!!

So, I went to Kodiak's website and got the .pdf for wheel shells. Based on what you all are saying, Kodiak will only do a step format??? Why do you say that? I am looking at the .pdf right now and I have to fill in some info that I am not too sure about. Can you all help with this? Here are the questions:

1. Number of mounting bolts and on what bolt circle radius
2. Center bore cut out size
3. Outside Diameter of wheel center
4. Mounting bolt hole diameter
6. Wheel shell diameter
7. Inner wheel shell width
8. Outer wheel shell width

The bent wheel is a 19x8.5.

Thanks for any help.

Ron
