I have the stock 19 inch spyder wheels for my gs450h.
I would like a wider tire. With that said is it necessary that I go to a 20 inch to get a significantly widder tire? Obvioiusly I wnat NO issues with rubbing.....
If not, what is the widest tire I can put on the 19 inch stock wheel.
Also what is the widest tire I can put on the 20 inch (not yet bought wheel).

Are the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S the best tires to put on them?

Better feel for hard cornering?? More grip?

first of all, i believe the stock spider wheels are 18s, not 19s. the only lexus with 19s is the new ls460 with touring package.

wide of tires have little to do with the diameter of the rim, but more on the width. if the wheel is wide enough, you can put wider tires, regardless of the diameter (18, 19, or 20). the stock wheels i don't think youcan put too wide of a tire, maybe 255 at most

if you want wider tires, which you can do no problem on the 3gs (specially the rear), you need wider rim like 9.5 or 10 or 10.5. then you can put 275 or 285 tires

it will have a lot more grip and help on handling, of course
