What site did you get the pics of the Ford GT from? I wanna see more!
I have about 4 inch lips on the rear wheels of my G35. My SC300 has about a 2 inch rear lip...if that. Those big lips are sweet. Gives the car that exotic look. Catches the eyes and bounces the light from multiple angles.
The wheels on my SC still look hot. Very hot. I say it depends on the style of the wheel more than anything. Both can be hot.

I love lips!!! But I like them in just-about-right sizes!
Good looking car must have good looking wheels, and good looking wheels must have good looking brakes.
I never get the point of people use thin spoke wheels to stand out the OE brakes.
