Well no offense but the 250 is hardly a performance driver in the first place. I would only care about getting good tires for hard driving.

I would say its important to have good tires no matter what your car. It depends on driving style not on the car. If you autocross and you own a bone stock Neon, I'd still say go for the better tire.

If all you do is drive to work and back and to the grocery store. Don't spend the money on premium tires.
