Picking Rims!!!
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to decide between 4 different rims, and I wanted to get everyone's feedback.
1. SSR Agle Minerva
pros: not many of these out there
cons: 19's are their biggest size.
2. Lowenhart LD1
pros: one of the best looking rims on the GS IMO.
cons: a lot of LD1s out there, plus knockoffs too
3. Auto Couture Supreme
pros: not many of these out there
cons: expensive
4. HRE 545's
pros: forged
cons: expensive
Suggestions of other rims and their pics would be welcomed too.

SSR Agle Minerva - Great looking wheel, this was in Round 1 of my wheel buying decision. Unfortunately, it's only available up to 19".
Lowenhart LD1 - Too many people have these and too many people have knock-off's of these on their beaten Accords and Camrys...nice wheel, but the knock-off market *****ed up it up...
AutoCouture Supremes - Another Round 1 wheel of mine...love the look but not really light...
HRE 545 - For some, the "normal" (stepped lip) is a big deal...other than that, it's a excellent choice.
For me, I'd want 20's, so that would leave only the last three. Out of those three, I would pick the HRE's first, then the Auto Coutures, then the LD1s.

i wasn't going to pick the LD1's until i realized, who cares who has them who cares who rip them off, if you really think they look the best on the GS, then get them!!! if someone says you bite him or whatever just turn away and laugh, its not like your putting them on some rusted accord, these wheels fit this car, so if you want them you shoudl get them, who cares waht anyone says!!

Retrodrive - Actually, those are NOT Mercedes wheels. AutoCouture makes aero kits and wheels for BOTH Japanese cars and Mercedes. That photo just happens to have a Mercedes center cap on it...you can get a Lexus cap or a just a normal AutoCouture cap...but had that not been the case, I would definitely agree with you...no Benzo/BMW wheels on a Lexus (unless they make them to SPECIFICALLY fit the Lexus...)
Sasha - In the end, of course it's up to the owner...but I figure if you're going to fix up your Lexus, you might as well not get the same wheels that a lot of rust-bucket Hondas run...the LD1's aren't the only good looking wheels for Lexus cars...just for me, I see the LD1's a LOT (in Los Angeles, everyone puts on LD1's from cheap little rust-buckets to overdone ghettoized SUV's) so the design is played out to me and is no longer desirable to me...it's lost that "coolness" in my eyes...it's become "common".
Of course, if Dru loves the way they look, he should by all means go ahead and get it!
I picked the HRE's because they are great looking wheels, they're well made, they're light (for their size)...as a ADDED bonus, you won't be running into too many people (regardless of the type of car) with HRE wheels...

retro,
I can see you the Auto Coutures still have that Benz feeling, I think it's b/c they look kinda like the stock AMG's that's why.
Anyone know if the Supremes in the pic above are silver or polished? I'm assuming polished.

Out of the 4 above I would pick #1 as well but if I were to buy HRE's I would of picked the 540's as my choice.. The 545 just doesn't do it for me.. LD1 is a great looking wheel but like Manaray said they are SUPER heavy.. So factor that into your equation before you buy.. Good luck!
