Default Rim Rash Damages, DIY Fix?

Any Support for my newly damage rims I was parking to close to the curb and of course smashed into the concrete Made me sick...

It looks pretty bad IMO is there ANYthing I can do??

Ive searched the forum and came up with this link from another post:
http://www.audiworld.com/tech/wheel.html

However, that is a different rim and I was wondering what color touch-up paint I would need and if there was some kind of clear coat that I would be removing with the sand paper that could possible damage the rim in the future??

Any advice would be great!

i had this issue before, what i did was take a real fine grit sandpaper to it and smooth it out, then use the touch up paint as suggested. you may need to remove the tire off the rim to get a the best results.

(im not liable if you over sand it )

I just ignored mine (after the initial cursing), and now I hardly even notice it.

My girl scratched both of my front wheels. I sanded them down where the curb rash with a low grid sand paper then finished with a 1000 grid sand paper then painted over and you can't tell. Looks like it was from factory.

Sweet, I'll grab some low grid sand paper and get the touch-up paint and do that, sounds like it will work pretty good, its hard to notice it unless your close and know what ot look for so im not in that big of a rush

Thanks for the Houston Shop References!

SO did you ever fix the curb rash. I have some minor curb rash and I'd like to know how it worked out for you.

I actually have not gotten around to doing it yet, and its kind of a good thing because I just recently nicked that same wheel a tiny bit once again! Its on the left side of the car which makes it harder to judge that side so I dont think I'll be getting it fixed anytime soon. Even when I walk up to the car I cant even notice it unless I look close so it actually does not bother me at all...
