I'm looking to get some Blitz wheels for the 2GS that I will be picking up in a couple weeks. But I'm still new to figuring out offsets and whatnot .I also plan do lowering the car with Espelir ASD's. Here's a chart of the available offsets.



I think I have to use the low disk wheels. I'd rather run 18X8 up front and 18X9 in the rear, but am open to whatever widths and offsets which will be the most flush, with the drop from the ASD's, and without fender modification. Thanks in advance.

18x8 and 18x9 may be too "sunken" in. If you want a more flush look without tons of work, I'd go with 18x9 et38 or 41 and 18x10 et45 for the rear. 22mm offsets in front and back will require heavy fender mods. Recommended tire sizes are 245/40 and 275/35 as stated by TireRack.

- Do you have any remote plans to do a BBK up front? If so, the go with High Disk for the front.

- If you must have x8 and x9, then go with what is available (depending on disk and the answer to the question above about BBK) for the fron, and +38 for the rear.

- If you are willing to go to a x9 and x10 setup, I agree with sleeper and stay away from the +22 offset.

First off, thanks for the replies. I don't plan on a BBK, and I'm open to the X9, X10 combo. Will this combination still provide a large rear lip? And would I need any spacers to get the wheels completely flush? I'm not looking to be "Hellaflush approved," but I wouldn't mind having the wheels themsleves flush with the body and having the tires stretched a bit.

The x9, x10 combo will yield more lip action than x8, x9. You won't need spacers. That is more money for an extra few mm.

So 18X9 et38 for the front and 18X10 et45 for the rear, correct? And I'm assuming by your screen name that you're from the San Jose area. I'm actually planning on buying the wheels from Auto RND. Do you have any words for or against them? I want to make sure I'm getting the wheels from a reputable company.

Now that I think about it... maybe et41 high disk just in case you do change your mind in the future. Yes I am from the Southbay. I have never had any experience with them so I can't comment. You can do a search on this forum or maybe Google to see if there are any reviews. Good luck.

ok, there is this guy on here that is somewhat of the wheel offset guru...

you really cant go wrong by reading his stuff and looking for his direction.

BTW, my old rims were 18x8 and 18x9 and they were 38 offset, sunken a hair, and looked good, not too conservative, not too aggressive, just right in my opinion.

If I were to go with the high disk combo, what would the lip sizes be? And will they still fit even though I have no immediate plans on a BBK?

I just got an email from Blitz and they said their demo car used 18X8 front and 18X10 rear, both 45et. Now is there going to be a big difference in front wheel lip between the 18X8 et45 and 18X9 et41?

Yes the front wheels will still fit with high disk and no BBK. The lip size will be very minimal since the face of the wheel will be pushed outwards to accommodate the bigger calipers. Since lip sizes are not listed in the specs, you would have to get intouch with the manufacturer to find out that info.

Between the 18X8 et45 and 18X9 et41 (and assuming both will be high disk), there will be atleast 1/2 an inch difference in lip size because of the wheel size. Add another 4mm to the lip because of the lower offset.
