ok, i did some searching and you guys are correct, they are called spacers.
this is what comes to mind when people say spacers.
Vic Nyce what's the offset of your wheels?

there are threads with members who have done 20mm in front and 25mm in the rear. wouldn't 25mm in front and 30mm rear be same as the other config but 5mm wider overall? meaning the front would stick out past the rears anyway, correct? how many mm do the fronts stick out more than the rear?

Thanks guys. This has been the most inforamtive thread ever on wheels spacers. OK with that being said, I am going to go 25 rear first. If I don't like how the fronts are, I will try 15 front. Thanks again. Ill put up some pics when done.

it all depends on the offset of your wheels.

I just don't trust those spacers. they seem like a rig job to me. I'm sure most people have no probs with them, but I personally just wouldn't mess with them.

I am putting these on the stock rims. NYC does not really allow me to go to some crazy size, and there are only a few other rims that I like. If I find a good deal on some new GS430 18", I will put those on.

As far as the spacers being a rig job. I always thought the same thing. But I recently met a guy that has been using the H&R ones for about 3 years on hist 800hp mustang. He never had an issue. Plus H&R is a very reputable company. I am willing to try.

to make you feel better, i've driven over many bumps and potholes in NYC. never an issue in the +/- 10k miles ive had them on. matter of fact, i've never read of anyone having any problems running spacers.

i tried the 30 mm today, set the wheel out to far. this spacer is fine for the stock gs wheels cause they have a +50 offset. i only need a 15 mm spacer, my wheel is a +40. can you get a bolt on 15 mm or do i need to do the longer studs? the bolt on i dont mind as much, i seen some cars with real hp runnin em. the longer studs im kinda make me a little uneasy.

Vic nyce, I like this spacer. Would you please pass the part number for this one as well. I'd just like to make sure I choose the right ones when I order (25mm).

And will the stock studs be longer than 20mm (spacers)?

Truly, I am concerned about the safety as well, but looks like many have used spacers without issues ...

toeb. - you do need extended studs on a 15mm spacer. i have some 12mms that are too big to fit on the stock hubs. they are just a little too short. so 15mm will definitely not fit..
