Default Whats the best 20" wheel!

whats the best 20" wheel for the gs430? I wanna roll on dubs but I don't want a cheap knock-off. I like the barlettas but reading the post in the gs forum, alot of ppl say its a knock-off. So manaray, ur the wheel guy. Whats a good quality wheel? thanks!

Well I am am not manaray but I will give this a shot. Strong wheels are usually a three peice desighn or forged and sometimes both. Good quality wheels would be Work,HRE,Lowenhart,Volk, just to name a few. I know there are others but those are the ones I know off hand. When I finally find my GS400, I will have 20" Work Equips or Rezaxs, I love the HREs but they are just to damn expensive!

The only sporty yet elegant 20s are HREs and Work 20"s. VolkRacing doesn't make 20s, and Lowenhart is just total luxury/classy/elegant.

Barlettas are not knock-offs but hey it doesn't take too much originality to come up with that. Not my style but oh well if you like it then go for it.

But quality wise it will NOT compare with HRE, Volk, Lowenhart, or WORK. That's a FACT.

Hmmm...ok, I guess this topic is covered!

Diesel - The all time classic question, "What's your budget?" This little bit of info will help a lot. Please do NOT include the price of tires...

you want sporty of elegant?

It's either HREs or LowenHarts I guess. I personally would go with HREs.

I am probably just going to repeat what everyone else has posted but, if you want elegant and bling bling I would go with L-Sportline wheels (Evo model one) they are just HOT!. For a racey smooth look I would go with HREs(540) or Works (Equip or Rezax). Lowenharts are nice but they are just played out to me. I would love to go to the Conn meet, BUT I don have a GS....yet . actually I am in the process of sellig my GSX and saving about 15,000 for a down payment. My purchase date is in Febuary.

for tires, you can do a 245/35-20 for the front (on a 20"x8.5" wheel) and a 275/30-20 for the rear (on a 20"x9.5" wheel). You can do a 20"x10" wheel in the back (with the same 275/30-20) tire but it's technically too large for that tire and you don't want to any larger on the tire w/o risking rubs.

Personally, I agree BadBtsz4u, the LD1's are played out. Everyone and their grandmother has 'em and in most cases now, it's not even the real thing but a cheap *** knock-off...

If budget is of no concern, then I would seriously look into HRE's...if you're seriously interested, PM me and I can give you some info about reverse lip HRE wheels (which, in 20" NORMALLY don't exist for cars... )
