What offset is recommended for 18x8 0r 18.7.5 rims on 2001 LS430?

Thanks for the info. To put a pic on this site you will need to upload your photo to a website and link it from there with the photo web address example: http://www.YourCarPhoto.com. I'll try and stay under 20mm extention to be safe. Thanks for your input.

all correct on the sizing (at least without doing it myself, it looks right)... Anyways, you can go a littler further, or even a lot further, but then tire size will come into play... I honestly don't have figures on the LS's as far as clearance, hopefully someone who has something similar will chime in here... On the inside, so long as you give yourself a half inch clearance between the shock and the wheel, you are good - you don't need a lot of room there...

Do you think on 18X8 with +40 offset and 245/45/18 tires will work. I think this will be very close to stock specs with inner clearance of 1mm less and outer position extended 11mm according to the calculator. Just want to check on the tire size since it is closer to stock height and if it will fit perfectly with the 18x8 +40 offset setup.

Thanks for the great info and you made it easy for me to shop for new rims without the worries. I have gained great tire knowledge over the past month or so. I appreciate your help mitsuguy. What kind of tires in your opinion offers a comfortable ride, good handling, long tread life for every day driving and at a good price value?

I tend to err towards the pricey side vs. cheap, but, depending on where you are driving and what conditions, some good ones to look into are the Bridgestone RE960A/S, RE050's ($100 rebates on both right now), Eagle F1 GS-D3, Pilot Sport PS2, or maybe some Yok Advan Sports... what are you looking for in a tire?
