someone told me that you can get a rim altered. say you have a 18x9 and you want it to be 18x8. by taking an inch from the middle ? is that true anyone heard of this? this is an aloy rim i think?
also as for the steel rims that were spares for the older lexus models anyone know where to get some? i think they were 16?

You can always reduce or widen the rims but that's so 70's...Some porsche guys used to do that and only because there were certain width of wheels not avaliable for public to purchase(race only wheel)...Today, I will not do it period.
As for steel spare, check local junk yards or ebay, some Toyotas would fit as well so you should find them easily.

price is not important, no chrome, maybe polished lip, maybe staggered? nothing too wide or agressive, something 1 step up from stock but still clean, i like the 19s on the blue isf, u think it would be possibe to get a set of those bbs makes them i heard.
about the rim resizing the guy who told me about it was a porshe guy. thats funny,,,
also the car is rather low so nothing to fat bc they need to tuck in there, stock brakes,,,

Ok. So I'm thinking maybe 8.5" and 9.5" widths would be good for you and anywhere between 35mm-45mm shouldn't require any fender modification. If the offsets are around 35mm, you may need to run a 235/35/19 to be safe and for it to tuck. If the offset is around 45mm you should be fine with 245/35/19 in front. For the rears probably a 275/30/19 or 265/30/19. If the car is that low you probably aren't looking at a "fat" tire set-up. Since you're on stock brakes and if you don't plan on upgrading, you might want to choose either a mesh or multi-spoke design to hide calipers and rotors a bit. Disk type is irrelevant also if you're going to stay with stock brakes.
