after painting my calipers last year i decided to give them a "touchup" today yeah they look nice and red again however with time i know they'll get a bit dirtier and balnd again. my question is will the clear coat actually prevent this or will start looking way regardless ?? ty

I forgot to test the clear coat when I painted my calipers last Saturday . Well, the G2 paint looked real nice. However, when I sprayed the Duli-Color clear coat, it gave me little white spots. So the paint looks a little faded now. I asked my friends, they say it looks fine and that I'm over reacting.

I was thinking about using real fine sand paper and sanding down the clear coat around the decal. But I'm not sure. I will try to post some pictures later this week and you guys can give me some advice.

ouch. did you wait for the g2 paint to be completely dry before spraying the clear? could those be just small bubbling?

I waited about 20 mins, but then again when I painted the calipers it was around 100 degrees. It's not bubbling, it looks like theres a bunch of little spots. I'm not to sure what I want to do about it right now.

Could it have been caused by spraying the clear coat to far away? I think I was about 1ft away.

umm i don't know, but between different paint, i usually wait at least 1-2 weeks. a lot of times the paint is dry to touch but will take longer to dry throughout

I finally had some time to take pictures. The picture is kind of blurry, but there's a lot of little white spots.
