Chroming stock silver 17"s???
Whilst waiting to plop down $4k on rims, I'd like to look into chroming my stock silver 17"s. Has anyone done this before, and if so, how much would something like this cost? I think the chrome would set off my silver GS really well, and it would hopefully cover some of the scratches I have on the rims now.

Chroming wheels
It'll probably cost you about $100-175 per wheel to chrome them, that's a "walk-in" price, shipping, if you don't have a place near you, will be expensive. I'd try and see if you can have a set of chrome wheels mounted on the car first for a visual check. Chrome on Silver don't usually get rave reviews.

YOu may be right about the stock chromes not looking so hot...I have yet to see one in person...there aren't many GS's here in Tucson, let alone silver ones with chrome rims. I was just thinking about it while I wait to get the rims I really want...L-Sportline Model IV. Based on the pics on their website, they'd look awesome IMHO.
