McGard SplineDrive Lug Nuts NOT for OEM Chrome 17s?

my tire guy told me my spline drive lug nuts will not hold my gs400 chrome 17 oem rims properly. anyone know if this is true?

I believe it's true since they are designed for aftermarket wheels. If you have a set laying around and end up not using it, sell them to me..

Definitely wont work.

I have the Spline McGuards for my aftermarket wheels.

I also have a set of lugs I need cary and use for the spare OEM tire.

The OEM lugs have FLAT washer vs Spline are Tapered w/ no washer
