Default Nexen N7000 All-season tires

Hi there,

Has anyone used these tires - Nexen N7000 all-seasons ?
Looking for a set of All-seasons and came accross them and they are cheap.
I searched and saw a few posts regarding other Nexen model of tires but nothing regarding the N7000. Hard found any reviews of them on the internet as well.
Any opinions about them?

Carib.

Unhappy got em on my SC430

I have these tires on my 2004 SC430. They are 245/40/18. I think they are quiet, handle great, and look terrific. I bought the car used with these tires already on them. I've never hear of them before I bought the car. I've driven about 1200 miles on the tires (which look new).

Negative... I recently did a tire rotation in my garage and found a bubble on the sidewall of the front tire. The bubble was on the inner sidewall and not noticeable until I took the tire off. I'm probably due for a blowout due to this tire. I have looked around and no-one in my area sells these tires, not does tirerack or discount tire direct.

So, looks like I will replace the one defective tire myself with a Yokohama or Continental.

I sell a lot of Nexen N5000's and I havent had any complaints. If the "bubble" goes in, its not a problem. If it bubbles out.. then yes you might be due for a blow out.

Any tire can have this problem, and, in my experience, 99% of the time its because someone curbed or potholed it.

Default NEXEN Tire Damaged

Here is a photo of the "bubble" or "knot" on the inner sidewall of my practically brand new Nexen N7000 245/40/ZR18 tires. None of the other tires are damaged, so I plan to replace and give the brand another shot...

I ordered another NEXEN tire yesterday from easy-tires.com. They appeared to have one of the best prices on the net. Once I get them and install them, I'll let you know if the distributor is worth a crap. Should arrive on Friday.

I ordered these tires for my SC430 from tires-easy.com and the price was good, the delivery was fast (3 days) and I had them installed at my local NTB tire store. I have used Discount and Tire Rack in the past, these guys didn't carry this tire, so I tried 'em. I'm pleased with my experience.

Default New Nexen N7000

I recently purchased these tires for my SC430 based on my tire dealer's recommendation... I like them so far. Before I changed over to the new setup (20" wheels), my SC430 had Michelins with only 8000 miles on them, yet they produced a substantial amount of road noise.... several factors could have contributed to the noise (incorrect air pressure, uncorrected alignment, uneven wear, abuse.... who knows?) By comparison and to my surprise, the Nexens are smooth, quiet and offer great handling.... far better than the Michelins I replaced..... but remember, the Nexens are still brand new. It will be interesting to see how they compare at 8000 miles.
