Default question about 275/35/19 rear tires

Hey Guys,
Im running a fat setup with 245/40/19 in front and 275/30/19 in the rears. Im about to change my rear tires, so my question is.. would it be okay to run 275/35/19 in the rear instead of 275/30?

for those who have done it, did you see any changes from 275/30 to 275/35? would it look funny?

Ok thanks for the help.

Going from 275/35 to 275/30, you are going from a 96.25mm to 82.5 sidewall height. The 245/40 in front has a 98mm sidewall height. So that would be almost a 16mm difference between the front and rear tires. Personally, I think it would look a bit funny.

245/40 matches A LOT better with 275/35. But is that a typo? Not 245/35? Because right now there is a big difference between your rear and front tires...

to match your front, 275/35/19 is the RIGHT tire to use! right now with 275/30/19 your rear is very skinny compared to the front!

if you have a typo and meant to say you have 245/35/19 up front now, then going to 275/35/19 in the rear, the rear will be 1" larger in diameter, with the same drop the car will have a rake look (a bit funny)

That's what I'm running right now. I have 245/40/19 in the front and 275/35/19 in the rear. I am thinking of going to 245/35 and 275/30 to save a bit on tires. The fat tire set up costs almost twice as much. What to do, what to do....

i just looked on tirerack, for example the 050A, the 245/35/19 is 253 and 245/40/19 is 262

I have the same 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 setup. I like it because its relatively comfortable and probably safer for the wheels.

changing to 245 35 19 and 275 30 19 will dramatically worsen your ride comfort.

a good alternative to your 275 35 19 at the rear would be the 255 40 19 or even the same 245 40 19.

no actually i do have 245/40 up front, and yes it is a bit fat compared to the rears at 275/30..

i guess i will go with a 275/35 rear then, because my front tires are practically new, and if it matches, i think it'll be fine. i dont really mind the look of a fatter tire. haha

Yes, you need 275/35 for the full "fat" set-up. It won't look as nice but it'll help with comfort and protect your wheels better.

if you want to run fat setup, then then 275/30/19 you have in the rear are the wrong tires. go with 275/35/19, then it goes hand in hand with the front
