I think I'll ask for better Bear Patrol to proctect us from bears first. We currently have 0 stealth aircraft protecting us from bears at the moment.

Here is another good link about how to handle a blow out.

My "brand new" tires have a manufatured day of as follows:

Tire #1 0308
Tire #2 3107
Tire #3 BLANK
Tire #4 BLANK

Is it wierd that two of my tires show nothing for the last set of four numbers?

No. The numbers are on the other side of the tire.

I don't know the national statistics or anything, but the percentage of truly defective tires that I see or replace versus tires that were not cared for properly/have some sort of road hazard is probably less than 1%...

The second paragraph of that page says it all... I have seen some very bad defective tires blow out and even do damage to the vehicle, but, in about 8 years of tire experience, I've seen like 3 that were the tires fault... Two other tires that blew out had been repaired improperly and still did damage to the vehicle. Other than that, most "blow outs" are simply a sudden loss of air pressure, which, unless you drive a Ford Explorer, should be pretty easy to control...
