you only need to stretch if your aggressive fitting wheels rub using "full" sizes.

otherwise it just looks stupid.

I'm running 275's on my 20x10's, and they are slightly stretched. So running 235's is going to be way too stretched.

275/30 on a 10" isnt a stretch at all, im running 255/35 on a 10.5 and its a mild stretch, just enough to get the fitment i want without any rubbing.

What are your offsets? If you have conservative offsets and you run stretched tires, it'll look real funny unless you're dropped real low.

Enjoy the rim damage if you stretch the tires too much! My rims stick out significantly from the tires on my 20 x 10's, enough that I have to be dam careful of everything and anything on the road.

also be careful which tires you stretch...some are weaker than others when stretched.

Same question as drifto808, I'm about to put on a set of 20" chrome work wheels on my 2gen gs and was seeing what's the proper size to put on my wheels? The front is a 20 x 8.5 with an ET41 and the rear is a 20 x 10 with an ET39. I was thinking about doing a set up of 225/35(f) and 255/35(r) or should I be on the safe side and go for the 245/35(f) and 275/30(r). Please keep in mind that i'm planning on lowering my ride with tein coilovers as well. Your input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

you can run a 245/275 setup without issues...those are pretty conservative offsets.

thanks for your input! to be on the safe side, that's what i was considering as well (245/275 setup) and i know at the end of the day, it's about preference and the sake of your wheels, but i was thinking more along the lines of a 225/35 and 255/35 setup, what do you guys think? too risky?...especially with the type of wheels and size that i have?
