Thumbs up Goodyear Eagle F1 All-Season (IS350)

SO... I had the stock Bridgestone Potenza's on my IS350. I never rotated the tires, (I know you can't rotate the wheels, but you can switch sides with the tires, don't call me dumb yet, lol) and I got 24,000 miles on them. I noticed during my oil change that the warning belts were showing on all of the insides of them... So I did some research, and I didn't want the strictly performance summer tires, I wanted all season. Long story short, I ran into the Goodyear Eagle F1 All-Seasons. Good price, tread looked tight, good reviews, but nobody really had too much experience with them here.

Bottom line: HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
The tires were amazing! I got in my car, set the little TPMS, and drove. IMMEDIATELY I noticed a much more quiet ride over bumps, on the road, and on the highway, very smooth, and a much stronger/sturdier feel to the road. I would say I feel like the Bridgestones have that "whip appeal" where I could just turn whenever I wanted, but these tires STICK! My best friend has a Gallardo, and I always notice how the tires pick up every pebble on the road, and my car does virtually the same. When I park I always notice tons of little rocks sticking to the tires.

Conclusion: I don't know TOO TOO much about tires, but I've had experience with a legit amount, and I do recommend these a lot. Once it rains, I'll go have some fun, hopefully I won't get hurt, but I'll take one for the team... Feel free to ask anything...

i was actually looking into these but decided not to and go with the Potenza's due to the better rating and small difference in price. i heard the F1's are noisy after 10K... hope it ain't true

Maybe they are... For now because of those Bridgestone's I had before, anything different is going to be better. They were really loud and really rough. So we'll see... I'll update when I have some new experiences...

Default Thanks for the input on the Goodyear F-1 A/S !

I just bought an '08 IS 350 and am not at all impressed with the Turanza ER33FZ's with their lame-o 140 treadwear rating here in the rainy, icy, snowy, (last winter - actually for about 9 months) Northwest. I want to get rid of them and put something else on, but am torn on what would work. Your posts are helping me make a decision. I have total of 32 miles on it today. The Turanzas are noisy already but the roads here are all torn up because yay-hoos run studded tires from November - February, and it tears up concrete something fierce..
Take me back to Northern California, where the roads are smooth, quiet, and the normal speed limit is 80mph !! DanF

Hah! I would definitely go with them... Today it finally rained and I went for a long drive... This may sound ridiculous, but they honestly felt better in the rain... It was new for me, and also very odd... The tires look sick, let alone do the job well...
