Default IS 250 AWD Tire Fitment Recommendation

I have an '07 IS 250 AWD and I just got 18x9 Volk Racing RE30's with +35 Offset. They look pretty flush (mounting on the car w/o tires) so I was just wondering:

Should I go with 225/40-18's or stretch it a little 255/35-18?

I know with the wider tread, I'd be taking advantage of the slightly wider rims but, narrow wheels are where it's at for highway cruising.

I guess I just need to know if you guys think it'll look too wide with the 255/35 or too stretched with the 225/40

Thanks in advance

- Patrick

225/40/18 is the recommended size b/c closest to oem diameter.

FYI, on your wish list someone is selling F sport springs in classifies.

meh, i ended up ordering Goodyear F1 Asymmetrical 225/40-18's for my rims.

The guy's name is Mitch and he's charging me 960 for the tires and install.

He said if the tires end up stretched, it's a safety issue and won't let me leave with those tires on. He'll order me wider tires instead.

But what I wanted to know is what are the tire sizes that can fit on 9 inch wheels?

I remember seeing a chart with pictures somewhere that shows this size rim can hold from this to this size tread but i can't find it now
