Question Polish your wheels?

I usually polish my wheels with Zaino Z1, Z2, Z6. My new SSR's have a polished lip, and the spokes are both brushed aluminum and painted. Dealer told me polishing is not necessary, soap and water will keep the wheels in top notch condition. Do you all polish your wheels? Will it hurt the brushed aluminum? Will it help? Thanks.

Default Polish always helps

Polishing/Waxing of rims will make it easier to clean, especially if you cannot clean your car every week. It helps hold you over without baking the brake dust into the rims.

I polish mine with Zaino Z2. It not only makes them shiny, the dust repels easier off of them.
