Default Tire Question

I put this up in the TireRack forum without any help. Hopefully some of you lovely SC ppl can.
My current tires have reached the end of their journey and now I need some new ones. Im torn between the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S and the Bridgestone Potenza RE960 A/S Pole Position.
Anyone have experience with either of these? Pros/Cons? I have no big performance mods so I dont need a super sticky tire.
Any help is appreciated

On Tire Rack you can read the customers feed back and if that's not enough info try Tires.com.And what size are you running?

I sell the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S over the RE960. Although they both have plenty of siping to help the tire run smoother and cooler, the Exalto A/S will outperform the RE960 any day. Because of the directional tread pattern it will also help evacuate the water faster giving you better wet weather traction as well. Also because they are both All Season tires you can expect to get plenty of mileage and even a mileage warranty on both of them. I bought some RE960s for my dad's 2IS and did not like them because of the road noise. I ran the Exalto A/S on my SC and Ive been stuck on Michelin ever since. Go with the Michelin.

i would say go with two sets of tires at least. one set of tires cant be good at everything. i have a set of blizzack lm65 for the winter and a current set of dunlop sp sport 9000 for the summer. i dont run all season. i know this isnt much help for your decision but if you drive the car in multiple season then get multiple sets of tires. that way you will get best performance and safety in all season.

in my opinion all season are

don't mean to change the subject or anything ... but why are all season tires bad? I'm getting new tires myself, however I don't even know what "season" tires they are

I have a 1992 sc400 and run Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. I average 45-48k miles per set with good comfort, performance and no noise issues. I also run them on my ls430 with similar results.

I've had the Michelin pilot before in the past on a different car and its a tire I would definitely buy again. The Bridgestone is a tire that I'm interested in and will probably be the next set I get for the SC.

My michelin pilot sport a/s are a directional tire and seem to want to pull the car in the direction the road goes. I dont drive the car in the winter so im going for a touring perf.
