I have heard from various sources that tires with full circumference bands in the tread design tend to cause more tramlining than tires with no such bands. Is there any truth to this?

No bands - GY GSD3

P.S. I know all about sticky compounds, bad roads, crowns, toe, camber, etc. This thread is only about tread patterns as they relate to tramlining. Thanks!
Borrowed photos from tirerack site, hope they don't mind.
