is 225/50/16 and 205/55/16 same sidewall?
hi guys, i don't know anything about tires and wheel, wanna ask a question here.
i have a Canadian base model 2is that comes with 205/55/16 tires, i m not going to get bigger size rims but i would like to go for some wider tires. my question is
will 225/50/16 make the car lower? or same as stock? any negative effect on the car? pls help thanks.

225/50 = 112.5 mm sidewall height
205/55 = 112.75 mm sidewall height
They are almost identical. This will not make the car any noticeably lower. What is the width of the wheel though? You may not have that extra protection from curbs and such. Is there any reason for going from a 225 to 205? If the factory recommendation is 225/50, I would just stick with that.
