To start, this is my first car that I have ever had low profile tires on. I have 245/35/20 on the front and 255/35/20 on the rear. They are loud!! The fronts are louder than the rears (front are nankang and rears are kuhmo). The fronts get really loud when you brake hard. I have checked everything and they are not rubbing. I also checked the brakes when I had the wheels off and they are about halfway. Is this just normal or cheap tires or what?? Thanks

I have to agree you bought bargin basement tires , what can you expect but noise and loss of grip.
Having a proper alignment will reduce tire noise as it can come from the tires toe being off when in motion.
Never go cheap on tires and halfass it by doing different tires on one car.

^ but they fall apart when stretched.
my Nexen N3000s were okay at first but now are louder since theyve worn down from being brand new. but they hard wearing, stretch well, grip okay, and are cheap so i can live with it!

I would imagine those tires were probably a bit quieter when new maybe? Or if you don't know for sure, I recommend you run your hand along the inside and outside edges of each tire, both forwards and backwards... if it feels like the tread blocks are not even, then the tires are cupped, which is caused many times by alignment or shocks, but can also just be because you can't rotate your tires due to the size difference...
the tread blocks will most likely feel smooth when you run your hand one way and jagged when going the opposite... I highly suggest an alignment, though it may not be the culprit...

I bought the wheels like this with these tires. Do you think I could get away with a 255/35/20 in the front?? It is pretty close right now with the 245's. It was not making this noise with the stock wheels so I am 100% positive its the tires. I just bought the car and I am going to go ahead and do the balljoints/tie rods this weekend for piece of mind and will have it aligned aftert that is done. But I am still convinced its the cheap tires. Thanks for the replies.
