Ever Straighten a Bent Alloy Rim?

I recently bent my GS' 17" chrome alloy rim when I hit a block on the freeway.
The rim is bent only on the inside and looks to me like it could be repaired. Of course, replacing it would be the best option but I'm not looking for perfection on this 10 year old car. As long as it doesn't shimmy when I go down the road, I'll be fine.
Has anyone ever had a rim repaired when it was bent? Can it be heated with a torch on the inside and hammered back in place? If this was done, it wouldn't show on the outside.
Thanks.

What a coincidence. I had to replace one of my OEM 17s last week because I hit a 'speedbump' on the freeway also..
I bought the OEM wheels off of a forum member here for the same price it would have cost me to fix it. Not to mention I got a wheel that was never been mounted!
I think I was quoted $80-100 to get the wheel fixed.
