Default brake dust shields

Has anyone ever fitted brake dust shields onto their vehicle? does it adversely affect the look of your wheels on the car? i was checking them out from kleen wheels (brakedustcover.com), any input would be valuable

I have used them before. Although they may have kept the outside of my rim cleaner I found they actually caused more dust to be deposited on the caliper, the spindle/knuckle and rotor area. Supposedly they are designed to reduce heat or promote air flow over the caliper to reduce heat build up, but I did have a caliper seize up when I was using one. Could have been coincidental.

I find it easier just to use low dust brake pads and keep my wheels clean. I have painted calipers with Lexus stickers on them. With the kleen wheelz, these would not be viewable.

Ive seen them on older model Mercedes vehicles. They keep the wheels cleaner but you'll still get dust on them somehow. When you unbolt the wheel you have large deposits of dust all over the place. I dont like them.
