Rust from Project Kics R40 Neo Chrome Lugs

Anyone running these lugs noticing that theres rust forming on the inside of the open holes? Any way to prevent this? This is making me want to go back to closed lugs.

Mine always did this havent found a way to have it stop occurring. I dont use them anymore partially because of this issue.
