225/40/19 on an IS?
hi,
my car is lowered and with 235/35/19 and it rubs the inner fender when i turn hard. and now i was wondering if i change it to 225/40/19, is it going to be better or worse? because im trying to get a nitto invo tires on my car...

The 225/40-19 is narrower than your current tire, but it's also taller.
If you are experiencing rubbing when the front wheels are turnes.
the rubbing will get worse, not better.
I tested IS-F wheels with the OE 225/40-19 on a regular IS and the tires
rubbed during turns big time. They are 1" taller than OE for a 250/350.

The Nitto Invo is a sweet tire. Good pick!
Which brand are you currently running on? Tires are like shoes, some run larger while others run smaller in the same size. From my experience, Nitto runs smaller. I think if you switch to the Invo in the 225/40-19 size the rubbing will certainly not go away but it probably won't get any worse.
