Never been a big fan but lately HRE's are #1 in my book. Just the fact that you can make your own wheel style (all parts are interchangible) makes them great.

Will HRE do a custom wheel design also? Or just sizes etc..

No, but any piece of a 3 piece HRE's can fit to each other. Thus, you can have a bunch of combinations

Correct me if I am wrong here.

Retro is right...

...and custom designing a wheel is a VERY involved and expensive process...I've explored that already...

Thanks for the reply. And some how I knew manaray already looked into that. BUT it would be sweet for a small premium to have custom HRE wheels, I'll have to go toss my penny into the wish fountain.

They are the new HRE 445Rs. The entire 440R line has the same lips.

3".. the 540s have no lip unless you own a Porsche or Ferrari.

Lowenharts are great "off the rack" wheels, no doubt about it.

Right now in the 440R or 540R (reverse) Series, HRE manufactures the following outer rims in 18 & 19" diameters:
1.5"
2.0"
2.5"
3.0"

Dennis has 1.5" front & 3.0" rear on his 445Rs (aren't they killer?).

4.0" outers will be available this summer- these really only fit F550 Maranello, 456GT, , 996 Turbo, Diablo, and Murcielago, as well as special widebody applications.

Later this week (pending tires), you'll all see my brother's '94 GS3 with 448R 19x9 (2" lip) and 19x10 (3" lip)...

Yeah, my 540's have lips...1.5" up front (high disk setup) and 2" or 2.5" in the rear (can't remember...SoCal, do you remember?)

But I'm WAITING for my 540R 20" with a 2"/3" lip combo...any day now....Bob, should I just put the money into a 6 month CD or something?
