I was going to start my own thread, but hopefully the guys from TR see this anyways.

Thanks again to TireRack!

I just received my new Blizzaks for the ML. Delivered very quickly and painlessly at a great price....even including the shipping, and tax, and duty.

I also had ordered my OZ Ultraleggera's and Blizzaks for the F from them.

Just as good the second time around.

I was a T.R. dealer but i dropped them after we had a warranty issue and they would not return our calls and emails regarding the warranty (it was a brand new tire), after 2 weeks i ended buying the customer a new tire.

I will say they have fast shipping and good stocking/selection. --Seriously 2 weeks no response--

Got a set of winter tires mounted and balanced for the R8, cost me almost half as much as it would have cost me had I bought them locally. Delivery was quick. Cheapest combo I could find: Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero II on O.Z. Ultralegerra HLT... $4,343.70 with TPMS, mounting, balancing, road hazard, shipping, tax - everything - included. A steal.

on a set of 4 tires, how much was the shipping?

GST/PST and Duty are pretty much standard, but im curious how much was shipping to canada and if there was any customs fees on top of that?

i did end up buying from tire rack, i ordered the blizzaks DMZ3, they cost 119 per tire, the shipping charge alone was 170, plus taxes and fees. came to about 750 USD. after the exchange it ran me 868 CAD delivered to my door in about 4 days. i still saved over 100 bucks.

i live in Nova Scotia, and i thought that was pretty fast from delaware.

keep in mind that when they drop them off they just stick them in front of your house, nothing to sign or anything. whether you are home or not.

The shipping was right around $220 from Delaware and I don't recall paying customs, just the GST and PST. I believe that both the rims and the tires are manufactured in a NAFTA country, so no customs (or very little).

standard duty is usually around $40, then $20 for UPS brokerage fee, $16 tire tax< $199 shipping, +GST.

nonetheless, the price tire rack quotes you is the price you pay (dont forget to convert to CAD) there is no charge at the door which is nice. very well thought out

Shipping: $359.32
GST: $41.89
HST: $.00
PST: $.00
Duties: $51.80
Brokerage Fee: $30.00
Excise Tax: $.00
Provincial Tire Fee: $16.00
Order Total Including Shipping: $1,239.01 US Dollars

($1380 ish after conversion to CAD.)

This is copied off of my actual TR invoice. This was for four Bridgestone Blizzak LM 25 4x4 tires. ($185/tire). By comparison, to buy this years LM 60's (they replaced the LM 25's) locally, it was going to be $689 per tire plus tax.

$2890 locally vs. $1380 from TireRack Decision was easy.

SG there are UPS brokerage fees as well unless you have your own broker.

I have used TireRack just once for a camber kit years ago. I won't again because they only use UPS.

Anyone who has ordered parts from the US and had them shipped to Canada by UPS knows that you get raped. PST/GST/Duty (if not manufactured in Canada/US/Mexico) and UPS brokerage.

another suggestion for canadian buyers is to hold off until you have to buy. with the canadian dollar gaining 1.5 cents today its only a matter of a few more weeks till we are on par again with the US folks. might save you quite a bit on the exchange anyway

Time to buy some U.S. moolah if we're going to hit par.
