Default BFG Drag Radials

Okay, since we can't just run down to the local shop and pick up an LSD, summer racing in the stock class could get interesting with street tires. Now, since I have one power tire, should I buy one drag radial and mount it on a rim and just run that one tire on race nights? If I had a LSD, then I should get two, but with one power tire, will that screw things up?

No Lex, I'm going to do it first

There's simple logic amiss here.................

A drag radial grips better than a normal tire; ESPECIALLY a BFG
and
You don't have a LSD
therefore
an open-diff will spin the tire that breaks traction first
therefore
having one drag radial won't do ****; the less grippy tire is gonna spin anyway

come on now camshaft, were you hitting the crackpipe or something ?

Calm down guys, it was just one of those things that I didn't know. Thats why I paid my dues, to learn these things! Anyway, Summit Racing has some decent deals on BFG radials, about the same as Tire Rack. I really would like to see some time slips from stock form before I start adding.

well i'm pretty sure i could have hit 14.9s bone stock with some BFGs

hell, if you want, get some rear SupraTT rims and get some 275 BFGs on them

Default tire size

tire size is very important, if you get a shorter tire its like changing the gear ratio,

smaller tire=quicker out the hole
bigger tire=more topend

i had these problems with my integra, cound never get the right size slicks. i would pull a 1.8 60' but would be in 4th gear by the 1/4 mile.

so dont go too tall on the tire, and HEAT your tire up as much as you can, you'll spin your right tire, then it will catch, then your left tire would grip
