you do realize many autocrossers run a mild stretch in order to minimize sidewall flex and increase responsiveness too right...

mind you i dont run that "mild" a stretch...

stretch tire is the darkside but the only true solution to drift/vip style.

"Autocrossers" who actually race don't. Stretching is strictly for looks.

It's looks and fitment. If you want to run wider wheels to look more flush or VIP and your bagged or slammed your tires won't clear your fenderwall sometimes so people use stretched tires to clear it. It's fine to drive with them unless u don't know how to drive and avoid all the potholes n stuff. Less meat on the ground but looks great it's not something u see everyday and is different than other cars

My statement was said by me, which reflects MY opinion, obviously. Nowhere did I say EVERYONE thinks it's sexy

It actually started in Germany where they had laws limiting tire dimensions. The enthusiasts said screw them and put the biggest tire they were legally allowed to on whatever wheel width they pleased.
Look at any tires spec sheet and it will have a recommended wheel width. A mild stretch would using the tire on the wiidest recommended wheel. It only gets crazier from there.

Default 20" Rims with streched tires

whats up everyone,I am new here. I recently got these staggered 20' DPE rims for my Is250 RWD, they are used, the fronts are 20x9 with 245/35/20 and rears are 20x10 with 255/35/20 tires. I lowered the car with H&R springs, tried the rims on and found out that they all rub the fenders so I got the fenders rolled on rears it's a little bit better but still i think they will rub ones I hit the bomb ,so I am thinking of getting the tires stretched but not sure what size I should go with. any suggestions?

225/35/20 front and put your front 245/35/20 on the rear.
