Hey all, I just recently purchased some rims for my '93 LS400. They are 20x8.5 with a +35 Offset. Will 255/35-20s fit ok on this vehicle with those wheels? Most places seem to recommend 245/35-20, but DiscountTireDirect shows that 255/35-20s will fit also. Is that true? I may go get some tires this weekend from a local tire shop, so I was just wondering. Thanks in advance, everyone!

i would do 245s in front and 255s inthe rear...when i had myt supra wheels i did 245 front and 275 rears. supra specs are 17x8 17x9.5

for 1LS if you plan on lowering it properly you'll want 225/35-20 or at absolute most maybe 245/35-20 since the bigger the OD the more you will rub against the inner liner.

255's would look pretty chunky, probably bulging out, on an 8.5" wide wheel. I'd go with the 245/35/20 personally. That's the size I've got on my front wheels (20x8.5) and the sidewalls are square with the wheel.

I can't comment on the LS specific fitment, but IMO a 245 is a better match for an 8.5" wide wheel.
