Hey all, I just recently purchased some rims for my '93 LS400. They are 20x8.5 with a +35 Offset. Will 255/35-20s fit ok on this vehicle with those wheels? Most places seem to recommend 245/35-20, but DiscountTireDirect shows that 255/35-20s will fit also. Is that true? I may go get some tires this weekend from a local tire shop, so I was just wondering.
Thanks in advance, everyone!

255's would look pretty chunky, probably bulging out, on an 8.5" wide wheel. I'd go with the 245/35/20 personally. That's the size I've got on my front wheels (20x8.5) and the sidewalls are square with the wheel.
I can't comment on the LS specific fitment, but IMO a 245 is a better match for an 8.5" wide wheel.
