Default In need of new tires

Guys, I currently have 235/45/17 and 255/40/17 and I will probably need a new set of tires pretty soon. I was wondering if I go with 225 in front, will I feel less road by going with the narrower tires in front? My problem right now is that I feel everything on the road...

i feel ya man. my 235-40-18 feel every bump on the road. if you get a 225 compared to 235, then you won't get as good of traction. can anyone verify? it's because of less contact on the road

Bigger the width number (i.e. 225 or 235) while keeping the "aspect" ratio the same would make the sidewall/overalldiameter/height larger. The larger the tire sidewall, the less "feel every bump on the road" you get.

So....with that said...

the 235 or 245 would be better than the 225.

My suggestion is to get a quieter tire tread pattern.

I think these are pretty quiet tires. I run them in a 245/40-18 and not much louder than the stock boat trailer tires that came on the SC.
