Default Looking to buy tires for an IS350. Dealer gave me 3 options...

Needs new tires and he gave me a choice of GoodYear Eagle GT, Hankook Ventus or Sumitomo HTR Z III. Which ones?

I'd pick Hankook because I'll be getting that in a few months. Don't know about other brands.

Hankook will the only tires I will run, until I find something that performs the same way and is just as cheap.

Ventus V-4 or V-12?

i've run on the V-4s and they're pretty nice. Really liked them
The V-12 are supposed to be exceptional for hanling. I think C&D or Rd&Track had a write up on them

These are not all weather tires, plan on snows for Winter. of course in California you may not need snows

I've had good luck with Goodyear Eagle F1's on my IS350, went 40,000 miles on the last set and they handled great.

I also have V-4s and they are smoother, good grip on wet surface, and cheaper than the stock tires(bridgestones).

Stock ones had better handling but the ride was too hard.

I'll buy this tires again unless I make a lot more money 2 years later.
M Piolt A/s would be my choice if price wasn't my concern

my rims and tires are still in the process of arriving. at the time of buying i was faced with 2 other options. Hankooks being the middle grade but after doing alot of research and reading all the reviews i went with the hankooks v12's. i can say i like them or not because i haven't even tried them but i can tell you i chose them. and also money wasn't the issue and i still pasted up on the more expensive ones....

hope this helps you.

Thx. I can't wait to get these tires. I have about 4/32 left on my rear tires, maybe about 3k-5k miles left.
