Also those using the L-tuned suspension with 20", how many fingers gap would you say it leaves? It looks descent in the pictures but can't really tell how big the gap is from them.

On my car, I don't have too many problems going up and down driveways even though my car is low and I have a body kit. Since the 20's raise the car an extra 1/2", even if you lower your car 1/2", you're just back to the "stock" ground clearance.
My body kit also isn't a super low kit like the WinRacing kit...
With no body kit, you should be fine...just angle up and down driveways...don't go over bumps really fast (you shouldn't do that anyways even stock...wears your suspension)...

finger gap pics
GSonDubs,
20x8.5 +38 all the way around.
H&R/Bilstein
2 finger gap...so no luck for you with this combo. I think you'll need to do coilovers to achieve the drop you want. Did you go to the LakeElizabeth meet? There were coupons for 15% off TEINs. I think you need two ppl to get this tho
SpdRcr0,
Fronts rubbed...needed to sand off a little of the plastic inside.
rears no rubbing ever...even with 3 ppl in the back seat...but then again its not 20x10. Its a bit tucked in but I can live with it.

oops sorry about the pic dimensions...I'm running dual monitors so it looks fine here.
btw left one is rear and the right is the front. weird tho cuz its looks like the front has a smaller gap, but I know for sure that the back has less gap...it could be the angle that i snapped the pics...oh well hope is helped out a bit.

So even with 20s and H&R's your going to have 2 finger gap... darn...
when you say "Shaved inside plastic" .. do you mean youhad to cut away some of the plastic interfender stuff....
what if you leave it in there.. the worst that will happen is that it will rub the tire a bit when you do lock to lock turns right?
thanks!

SpdRcr0,
Yeah 2 finger gap, but my fingers are small. If I was a big ****, it could be a 1-1/2 finger gap. I should have busted out the ruler. Anyways, its hard to say what the optimum lowering would be for 20's. I think its different for everybody. The best thing to do would be to get coilovers and adjust it until you find your optimum. With anything else, you'll always be limited to some degree.
I took it to a shop to "roll the fenders" at least that what I told them to do...but they ended up just sanding the plastic down at the 12 o'clock position on the wheel well. It feels like they took a belt sander and sanded it down. I'm not exactly sure on what they did, but it worked.
For me, the front rubbed going straight on the freeway (~75 mph)when the elevation of the road would change. It also happened on off-ramps and on-ramps when the car's body would roll. This might not be an issue with coilovers since the shocks will be stiffer and may not have as much travel.
good luck!
