Default rx 350 19 inch replacement tires

I'm looking at a new RX350 ... I understand the tires will wear out at 15 to 20,000 miles with the 19 inch option ... I guess the tires are softer for better performance. What mileage would I get with the 18 inch factory tires?

Is there a good replacement for the 19 inch that will get better mileage and still have good performance?

I really like the look of the 19inch but don't like the idea of new tires ever 15 to 20K.

Maybe I'm out of touch on what mileage I should expect?? I just replace the michlens on my honda ridgeline .... over 90,000 miles and they were not close to bald.

Any info would be appreciated

That has been the common complaint on the new RX with the optional 19-inch wheels. In fact the Lexus rep said 15k to 16k miles is more like a norm on these 19 inchers particularly the OEM Bridgestones. You have 2 options-- order your new RX with the standard 18-in rims or go with Michelin's high mileage tires but not sure whether they have "V" rating or not. I have 18s on our 2008 RX350 AWD with Michelin Energy MXV4 S8 "V" rated OEM tires and very happy with the wear, ride and performance. At 26k miles, only 1/3 of the treads were gone so I'm predicting I can get 40k easy out of them. I have heard as high as 52k miles out of these Michelins. Good luck.
