You can also do a slightly oversized setup on 19's...245/40-19 and 275/35-19. The S03's come in those sizes and the price they sell for on www.tirerack.com is insane...this way, you will gain two benefits...you get a better ride AND you car is actually raised a little more so that you can lower it more, get a lower look, but have the same ground clearance. The disadvantage is that your speedo will be off (like 3-5 miles at 60MPH...not a huge deal)...
Personally, I wouldn't do anything less than 19" on a LS. If I couldn't afford some decent 19's wheels, I would just WAIT and save up and get the ones I really want. If you compromise, you will most likely regret it. I have already learned this lesson a LONG time ago...
