if you have an OPEN differential in the back it won't hurt anything. It'll drive a little funny in hard turns (one wheel will "squish" differently from the other.), but no it won't hurt anything.
NOW, if you have an LSD, then it would, but you most likely don't, if in doubt, find your axle code, and look it up, or PM me all your cars info and I'll figue it out for you.
I have a 275/40-17 on my driver's rear, and a "full sized spare" 235/45-17 on the passenger side rear until I get my rim fixxed. I don't have a limited slip. once I _DO_ get a limited slip, then I'd need to change it out.
