Yokohama S.Drive Tires - BE CAREFUL!
#36
Like I said, I have them on my M5 and I am very impressed with their performance and life span! Yes they are noisy, but so is my exhaust LOL
Didn't get a chance to take off a wheel, desperate to see the inner tire walls. This will determine defect or fender cut. I just can't believe my fenders could do that to the tire, i barely rub and my offsets are moderate and drop even more moderate!
I hate stock shocks though!

From the looks, your height is actually high. I don't see how can it rub honestly... You would need to bottom out like everyday and that would cause it to touch the tires. Plus, your offset are not aggressive and so is your ride height. Don't know how it would rub the tires. But I guess, others would say what else would cause it. Who knows..

I have these tires in 245/35/20 front 275/30/20 rear and like them a lot. I have over 38k on them and have had no problems at all. I have found them to be very strong and protect the rims very well under horrible road conditions. Hopefully everything works out for you.

I don't know why this is so surprising to everyone - the edge of the fender is quite sharp and sticks in quite a bit, almost an inch even, until the fender is rolled or shaved...
i barely rub

WoW!!!
I've been running Yokohamas for many years, never seen anything like that.
That is absolutely a "lemon tire" so to speak. And I hope Tire Rack will replace them. In the meantime, don't drive your car with those tires.
Good luck!!

It is NOT a lemon tire, it is a pair of DAMAGED tires... Aside from the money he is out, and I am truly sorry about that, but I don't think Tire Rack should replace them, as they are damaged and it is the fault of the vehicle itself...

Yep, I'm putting my money on tire to fender contact. I've seen this before.
The "tire defect" page is bunk - a law firm trying to drum-up business via scare tactics and nothing more. Scumbags...
