I am thinking of this tire / wheel combo as a direct replacement for my OEM 17" rims and need all of your expert opinions.

Borbet Type VM Rims (17 x 8) with Michelin Pilot A/S (Same size as the OEM 17" tire). Rim photo attached below.

Will this work out?

Does anyone have this RIM already installed on their GS (Photo would be much appreciated).

Any comments on this tire / wheel combination?

It's a pretty new wheel, I do not think anyone has this on a GS yet. I think it will look nice on the GS. Maybe one of the photoshop guys can photoshop this wheel on your car.

I am also looking for other opinions too? Is there another place where most members here go to buy a new rim besides Tire rack? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Any rim suggestions too.

Visit our wheels forum for starters. Then, contact one of wheel vendors(like Wheel Experts...Peter) with an established budget, and they will be able to help you by sending you more pics and fitment options than you will know what to do with......
You need to decide:
-Budget
-Wheel style...(Spoke, dish, mesh?
-Make(One/two/three piece forged, or one/two/three piece cast)
-Size(diameter, offset, width)

I do like that wheel (but then, I like the stock 17 appearance, so no surprise); isn't it a bit lighter than stock??

that almost looks like a knock off of the OEM GS 17" wheel.

If you going to buy aftermarket wheels, at least get 18's. Price shouldn't be that much higher if $$ is an issue.

You have a good point there. Why not upgrade to the next higher size. I guess I will have to drop the car a little to accomodate for the 18" rims.

L-sportsline has a nice selection or rims. I'll check out what Wheelexperts can offer for this line up.

I like this rim of theirs as attached.

I wonder where all my NJ fellow members take care of their wheel and tire needs?

As I keep looking at this wheel, it does seem very similar to the OEM 17's. Maybe that is why I like them so much just like you said.

But it still is slightly different and it reminds me of a BMW Rim option. Tirerack only offers it in a 17", so I might as well upgrade to a higher size and try something that looks a little more different.

Do you like this L-Sportsline better than the other one just posted?

Is there a disadvantage or advantage to a multi-piece rim? I'm still learning and really don't know the difference.
